to much money to to quit!

I paid to much for the truck and spent to much fixing it an now I have a truck I cant drive.The EFI went out and I burned out some pistons had inserts put in and they spun out.Do you think the way to go in a used gas with carb?getting rid of EFI would solv a lot of problems but is it cheaper in the long run?Wishind I bought a dodge or a chevy! Any advice would help.Thanks Fedup
