what brand tires are you running? are they radial or bias ply?

some tires wear faster than others. mud terrain tires used on pavement will certainly wear faster than all terrains on pavement. tires will also wear faster if not balanced properly. balance can be knocked out by one trail run and get continually worse with more trail runs. make sure you aren't missing any wheel weights. if balance is true and the wear pattern is even it may be simply regular tire wear.
