Ok I am aware this is not a quality 4wd vehicle but its paid off and I want to do a little bit to it. Bought it used to replaced my lariat I wrecked. It needs shocks badly, I want to put shocks on that will go inline with a 4wd project. I plan to lift it 4 to 6 inches. I also plan to put better than AT tires. So to start I was hoping I could tap into a forum and get some suggestions on shocks I should install. The front shocks are really dead, the rear was an airbag system but replaced with springs and shocks but I have no idea the current mileage on those. So please offer suggestions as to what shocks I should replace the stock shocks with. Hopefully I wont have to ask that no one post stuff like "fords crap" or "sell it and get a jeep" I respect everyones opinion and this is what I'm working with.

With really no input from any direction I checked and the current cost of lifting my expo I chose to go with Shock replacement. I purchased a kit from strutmasters and replaced the rear springs and shocks (which were aftermarket from previous air suspension removal) and the front Shocks (w/springs). The ride is much better and also level now or if nothing else leans forward instead of the rear end sitting down with the front sitting way up.
