Putting 31"'s on a Chevy Blazer

Okay, so I have a stock 2000 Chevy S-10 Blazer. I would like to put 31"'s on for tires, but am not sure if I need a 2" or 3" body lift to be sure I have clearance and no rubbing... Which would you guys say? Also, I wasn't sure if this should go in tires or suspension, so if I need to switch it to suspension, say so and I will happily move it.
Thank you in advance for the replies.

When GM brought out the redesigned S-10 and Blazer they also had a ZR2 package that ran 31x10.5R's stock. The truck wasn't more then just a lift kit on a standard as the frame was wider by a few inches. The ZR2 package lifted the truck about 3" so that's a good benchmark.
Suspension lifts are generally preferred over body lifts. Some states even have limits on how tall you can go with a body lift as well. The downside to suspension lifts is that they generally cost more as they require more work but look nicer.
The other problem you'll run into is that there aren't too many companies who have invested the time to make a suspension kit for the S-10/Blazers. It's a pretty small market.
