As a long time reader of 4WDSU I am amazed that on the cover of your Jan/09 issue is a great example of a YJ that is modified for 4-Wheeling. However, right in the middle of that cover is his license plate with an AMC logo... I am one of those rebel CJ,AMC types that will defend those colors to the end. (smoke bellowing from ears and knarly look on face) with the only justification for the plate appartently is the "CJ lug nuts 1/2x20 chrome with 13/16 head". I will not stop reading 4WDSU because of such an error but won't hessitate to let you know when your editing needs a little help. Thanx for the great mag.

Yep. That YJ was a '93. Wasn't '86 or '87 the last year of AMC ownership?

1986 was the last year for the AMC Jeep, and I believe that was the same year Chrysler bought out AMC and came out with the YJ starting in 1987. Lower and wider more non-rollover friendly because of public perception.
