Like the new contest. I can't complain since splitting it up into four parts, is one of the suggestions I made for the new contest. Great job in hiding the coordinates. Got my magazine today, found the coordinates, but they are 11 to 12 hours from me . A bit too far. Good luck to the rest of you.

Hi PVJEEPER,
I agree. I think the coordinates split in 4 parts will add a new twist to the contest as you'll still have to sit down and figure out which part goes with the other. Our art director Tris hides the coordinates and he is getting very good at being sneaky. Glad you found it challenging. After all, it wouldn't be any fun if it was too easy! sorry we didn't didn't get it close enough to home this time around but we'll keep trying.

Way to far for me, but look forward to some East Coast action. Please keep up the good work. I finally found the coordinates in the copies I have, I was looking past them evidently. Thanks for a fun activity for the entire family.

Well Hey !! I finally found the corrodinates in the first few minutes of getting my magazine. My Mag. arrived in the mail today, 8/1/08, 11:00 AM. I noticed by the postings that some had the mag.by 7/29. With all four parts posted in the Mag., the mail delivery puts it to some of us. If one part was still on the Website and came out on the 15th as before it would sure even the playing field. Be Hey!! At least I found them this time.

The new contest wording ("coordinates can be hidden just about anywhere in the magazine's text...") caused me a little grief. Combined with the use of several numbers with degrees in one of the technical articles, I was really uncertain whether or not I had found the West degrees or not. One of the numbers looked like it would fit just fine. Eventually I found the correct number though, and it was unambiguous.
Was that intentional or coincidence, if it's OK to ask?
Good luck to those who go after this one!

Hmm...12 hr drive each way, two days to do it in. Factor in the price of gas, food and lodging, and the prize just about equals out for me. But then I haven't been to that area of Colorado in quite a while....

Just got my November issue, and found both of the Minutes portions of the coordinates, and the degree part of the North coord, but the degree part of the West coord is eluding me! Arrrgh...

I found the North degrees first and stopped looking. It was almost a relief...
Good luck to this month's seekers!
