Where on the 302 is the engine speed sensor located?

In terms of RPM? I think most cars with a distributor have a wire that gives an tach output signal. If it has a coil pack, not sure.

I believe it is bolted to the transmission near the speedo cable location? a Hanes or Chilton manual would likely have that info.
