not to sound like a wise guy, but ya probably would of been better off getting a 4wd truck to start with. you'll need the front rear, transfer case and front shaft, just for starters.

well, you'll need a front axle so call Dynatrac or Currie or any other axle builder you know builds quality stuff and get one of those.

you'll also need a transfer case. call Advance Adapters or Stak 4x4 and get one of those.

you'll also need a transmission or adapter to mate the transfer case, which AA should be able to supply.

you might need a steering box too so call PSC for that. tie rod and and drag link should come with the axle.

driveshafts for front and rear will be needed-Tom Woods is the man.

you'll need leaf springs or coilovers or something for dampening so call your favorite suspension company and shock company and order those. Skyjacker is an old standby that always performs. Rubicon Express springs also work great. The Fox coilover shocks also work very well.

you will need a welder if you plan to do the work yourself. Harbor Freight has cheapies that do the job. Miller offers top of the line equipment that makes it easier.

tools will also be neccesary-harbor freight is good for these and also Sears or your local hardware store.

by the way, it helps if you tell us what year, make and model truck you want to convert to 4WD because there are actually quite a few kits that can be purchased to do what you desire. All Pro Off Road offers quite a few Toyota 4x4 conversion parts. Off Road Design has many Chevy 4x4 convo parts. Calmini has Nissan 4x4 convo parts. and the list goes on. The more info your provide with your question the better answer you will receive.
