I've owned almost every Jeep model at some time or another and have to say that the best Jeep ever is the one you own NOW!

Phil Howell - 4WD and SU Editor-in-Chief: I've owned almost every Jeep model at some time or another and have to say, "The best Jeep ever is the one you own NOW!"
The only possible exceptions I'd take to that Phil, are the Compass and Patriot. The Compass does not deserve to have the Jeep badge on its hood.

I agree with Phil, the best one is the one you own now. I happen to own 3 with a addition of now 4. best one 83 Cj7, which is what the Tj is design after, 91 yj just can not get rid of it, 97 xj love it and now a 95 Grand Cherokee limited. Not sure about it yet, Have not driven it yet, on or off road. The opinion I have about all of them is that they each have thier own way of handeling on and off road, each is fun, I have taken them on the same trails and each one I take a different approach to the terain. So I guess the old saying it is a jeep thing is true. Plus what other vehicles can you modify to your own likeing?

you make a valid point jeepaz. i own a 95 yj and i just recently got my wife a 99 tj. i will admit that i love the smoother ride of the tj, but i don't think i'd ever give up my yj.
