Being in the magazine industry I always turn straight to the mast head page that says who works on the mag and who does what. after that I flip to the back advertising section to see if any new manufacturers have popped up and are offering some new part I can't live without. Then I flip through the mag backward working back to the table of contents. after checking out the articles on the TOC page I then finally start in to the magazine and explore the articles. I typically like technical articles the best. events come next and then features. I also have a habit of not being able to ever throw away a magazine so I have quite a collection of back issues piled high on my desk.
What are you favorite type of articles that are featured in the magazine? Do you flip straight to the tech articles? The event or feature articles? Do you save your copy of each issue to reference later? Do you read the magazine in your 4x4? at your desk? on the job? on the toilet? while you're eating? in church on sundays?

I've got to say I probably do most of my magazine reading on the can. But I'm not an especially leisurely pooper. If I'm REALLY interested in a story, I'll sit down on the sofa and take some time with it, but more often than not, it's a quick flip to the TOC, and then to the story that looks the most interesting.

Along those lines, do you guys subscribe or pick 'em up at newsstands? I used to subscribe, but any more, I go to the supermarket or discount store and flip through an issue before I decide to buy or not. I know...guilty!
