IFS Front diff question

Hey, I've got a 1998 Chevy Blazer 4X4 with the 7.2 inch front diff.  My question is has anyone tried to stuff a 8.25 or a 9.25 front diff under one of these?  I know I'd have to change my CV axles because of the different # of splines and the larger diameter, but other than that will it fit?  If they wont fit in stock form, will it take a week of fab work to make it fit?  Or just minor modification?  The reason I ask, is I found someone who is willing to unload his 9.25 front diff out of his '94 1 ton pickup for super cheap, and if I can get a bigger stronger diff & axle combination on the cheap and fits, I'm going to do it.
