Holy cow people, do your job, quit walking around with your hand out, maybe you'll get something accomplished, on the other hand, why do you tip anyway because you're glad you don't have that job? the tipping thing has gotten out of hand, I have people try to tip me for some deliveries, I only take it if the get upset at my refusal, It makes feel looked down upon, believe me, you may have gotten a good deal, it still wasn't cheap or it wouldn't have come on my truck. some just can't afford it, yesterday there was news of Trump tipping a waiter 10 grand, guess Trump though he was to rude? It certainly doesn't make me feel better throwing around money what about the waiter/tres in the morning, I do the buffet and have to ask for the second cup of coffee that comes with the check when I'm ready to go? I think NO tip at all this time. food service is my main experience, some people take their orders to far, for the most part it is OK, sometimes it stinks, then they complain the next time about the small or nonexistent tip from last week.

I know I'm a jerk whats your Excuse?

Being a waiter's a tough job, I admit, but by and large, it seems the quality of service has gone down in the last few years at most restaurants I've gone to. That's why when I get an exceptionally good waiter, I tend to tip a little more on the generous side.

If the service is really slow, or they screw my order up, if they take enough initiative to comp me a meal, offer me a free drink or dessert, or something else to make up for it, I'll still tip on the original bill amount. I've been a lot of places where they seem totally indifferent about how slow the service is. I never outright "stiff" people, but I'll definitely tip on the lower end of the scale for poor service.
