I'm finally ready to swap gears. I have decided to stay with 33" tires and not go any bigger. It is my DD and will unfortunatly see limited off road use. Two weeks ago I went in the Big Horn Mountains of Wyoming and did some great wheeling on some difficult trails. I was with some very modified and locked up vehicles. I had no problem keeping up and even amazed the people I was with. So now I want to regain some power and mileage. My 05 Unlimited has a Automatic trany. I can't decide if 4:56 will be too much or if 4:10 will be too little. 4:27 unfortunatly is not offered for the Dana 30. ANy suggestions? Thanks

even 4:88's is a very wise choice for 33's and give it back the stock spunk.
I put 4:88's in my rubicon with 34" tires and the spedo is barely off.(4:10 stock)
with the 4:56's you will find some situations where 4.0 won't move at all unless low range is used. (automatic tranny),especially in reverse.
the stock rubicons get about 1 or 2 mpg less than the wranglers depending on your driving style.

Just going Putt Putt 03 Rubi HD 2.5" competition rancho lift, Nth degree HD adjustable front track bar, Nth oil pan skid, Nth front and rear sliders, Nth stinger, rubicon express front upper control arms, 4:88's and 34x12.5-16 TrXus M/T's.

Well I was all set for 4:10s but now I'm leaning towards the 4:56. By the time I'm done adding a rack, Tuffy storage and other things everyone keeps suggesting the 4:56s. I just don't know anyone who has either set up. Thanks again.

4:10's definatly won't cut the mustard turning 33's unless you managed to get at least 300hp out of the 4.0, the 4:56's will work but I think the 4:88's are way better,
Hope it works out for you.
