Hey Guys,

I apologize for the inconvenience, 4WD’s web site is slowly being rebuilt. Unfortunately the previous months GeoStash marker findings had been removed. We’ll get that information back up as soon as possible.

In the mean time here is a list of markers that have been found so far for 2007:
September 2007
August 2007
July 2007
June 2007
May 2007
April 2007
March 2007
February 2007
January 2007

All the GeoStash markers for 2006 have been found.

I hope this helps, thanks for reading the magazine and visiting 4WD’s web site.

I was wondering about the status of Map Detective. There is very little information about what areas have been identified. I've submitted e-mails with my answers without response and the forum looks almost abandoned with no new info. Can you help?

My experience with Map Detective has been the same.

Also, forum activity is spotty, there are broken links on the site, and information that's supposed to be here according to the magazine is nowhere to be found. There are always two boxes of "NO PHOTOS" showing on the 4x4 Truck Pictures on the homepage. The Events section lets you sort the events by year, if that year happens to be 2003...

So it seems that the site here isn't getting much attention other than the addition of the new articles. Maybe someone is on a long vacation or something, or they've got a major update in the works? Hopefully things will get turned around.

Hello XJ_Schmeidler,

The coordinates for the GeoStash contest are now split. Read the first paragraph on the GeoStash department on page 22, Oct. issue of the magazine. This will explain what has happened to the coordinates. In short, the west coordinate will be split into two parts and be hidden in the magazine, the complete north coordinate will be posted on 4WD’s website the 15th of each month. This change gives both subscribers and newsstand purchasers a fair shot at the GeoStash prize.

Thank you very much for reading the magazine.

Have a great day…

Hi JeepDave,

Sorry about the problems with new forum. As you can tell they are currently being redesigned, and we are experiencing a few technical difficulties. Please be patient, I am sure the web folks will get it working properly in a very short period of time.

Thank you very much for reading the magazine.

Have a great day…

Jeepinjay,

Again I apologize for the technical difficulties on our forums. Please be patient and give it a little time. If you have any questions regarding any contest you can always email the staff here at the magazine. Be a little patient and we will get to you.

We are absolutely inundated with emails regarding both contests so we can't get to each and every one of them. In most cases with Map Detective only the winner/winners will be notified. If I could I would answer each and every email, but well, you know … I’d never sleep!
