I just wanted to extend a welcome to all Suzuki Sidekick and Samurai fans. Naturally, Geo Tracker owners and enthusiasts are welcome as well.

Hi My wife and I just bought an ,89 Zuk Sammy. It is relativly stock except it was changed from a soft top to a hard top before we got it. It has what we think to have 200+G miles on it. Is there any thing we might need to know about such as week spots or week links that I should be worried about? We have already done a tune up on it and it runs better. I would like to lift it with slightly bigger tires. Any were from 245,15 to 31,15 may be a 4" lift or bigger I dont know if I want to leave the axle over or go axle under. I would like to keep a good sure stance due to the fact that my wife is going to be the capt. How hard is it to change to toy axles for a wider track width?

Hey Scotty! Check out this story from the latest issue of 4WD&SU about using Toyota parts to build up a Samurai. Granted, this is a pretty radically-modified rig, but at least it'll give you an idea of what you can do. http://www.4wdandsportutility.com/tech/0611_4wd_samurai_axle_upgrade/index.html

Hy!I hawa bought last year from Germany a vitara 4 doors because I had only heared about that car. Until then, in my country were forbiden all japanese cars.(the taxes were enormous) I was a sailor, and I saw all the cars worldwide but this one I enjoyed the most. For you it is named sidekic, for me vitara(japan made). Our climate is like Canda or Alska and the body suffers a lot,and I can not find original replacement body parts only for the rear, since many other countries have these products only for the front. Were can I find all things ? How come in japan the same, car same year(1995) it's more expensive than Germany or sorry US. All parts from Sidekick are compatible with Vitara (16 valves)? If my vitara did not have A/C can I get a replacement one fitted on it? What modifications have to be made for such an addition?
One last question: there is stil an issue regarding money transfer from my country. Our credit cards are not accepted in the US (mainly because of fraud) and I'd like to know what other opportunities are available if I'd like to order some parts from the US?
Sorry for the long post, and I wish you all to have a great time together with this great car
