That link above is one of the local trails I run. It's some nice trails and have a little of everything. You can actually get a completely stock 4wd vehicle on the main trail with no problems. Most of the trails are a bit over grown, so you will end up with some PA Pinstrips. The photos above are a bit misleading in that they are really two different trails. One is what we call the Connellsville Trails and the other is what we call the Hawkins Hallow trail. Yes they do interconnect, but I would not do so alone. The trail has a few off camber sections that if you tip, you end up about 500ft down a cliff and into the creek. The "caves" (they are actually lime stone mines) have been bulldozed shut last year too. If anyone is interested in running these trails, drop me an email.
BTW, the creek crossing is on the Indian Creek (not the Youghiogheny River). Indian Creek does flow into the Yough not far from the crossing and actually less than 25 yards from where that train trestle crosses back over Indian Creek.

One of the best places I have wheeled is Rausch Creek Off-Road Park. It's located in Eastern PA and offers something for everyone. The great part is, it's 100% legal. I know many people wheel where they can and often times this is on land that is possible private or not legal for motor vehicles.
Rausch Creek offers close to 2000 acres of very diverse turrain. It's got stock trails (which are little more than dirt roads) to trails like Rock Creek which is 1800 feet of small boulders.
All the trails are well marked and easy to follow and the staff is top notch.
If you want to make a long weekend out of it, Paragon Adventure Park is only about 30 minutes away.
