I want to run 36 inch tire on my 88 Chevy Blazer. Will 4 inches of lift and minor fender trimming do it?

You might want to consier a 6-inch lift to give you a little more clearance. You might be able to get away with 36s with 4 inches, but 6 should give you plenty. You might have to modify or trim the bumper a little. If there's a reputable off-road shop in the area, they've probably had enough experience installing lift kits and tires that they could let you know what combos work. Also, might want to Google "K5 Blazer" for some forums or clubs that might have some info.
